Previous Progress Reports

FEBRUARY 25, 2009

On February 21, Wayne Ford, Johny Meijer, and Peggy Johnson met with a California State official to introduce our process.  Further, it was made known the extent of our past meetings with several private venture capitalists and government agencies in hopes of finding a means to secure the minimal required $5.5M as startup operational funding.

As a result of this initial meeting, the official has communicated that he has already pursued contact with “key” State department heads to discuss grants and other possible funding that may be available to our company.  In an effort to “speed up the process” the official has arranged that on Thursday, February 25, Johny Meijer meets with a County Economic Development official and County Planner located in the Central California area.

It is our hope that these meetings will result towards CPC’s ability of securing startup funding.  We anticipate providing investors with supplementary information on a monthly basis as the need to report significant developments arise.

NOVEMBER 2008

Having secured a professional grant writer, an application had been submitted to the Department of Conservation for the $20M Grant.  On July 1st, it was announced on the California Department of Conservation’s website that our company was one of 31 companies (over 100 companies applied) that passed Phase I of the grant submittal.  However, because we did not attain operational status before submission of Phase II, we opted to wait until 2009 to reapply with the hope of having become operational.

In light of our country’s severely weakened economy and its effect on numerous businesses, the highly anticipated contract signing with a prominent North American supplier has not occurred.  However, it continues to remain a future possibility as the economy begins to improve.

JUNE/JULY 2008

California Department of Conservation Grant

Paperwork for Phase I of a $20 million Grant offered through California’s Department of Conservation was submitted on May 12.  Outcome of Phase I submittal will not be known until July 1st at which time it will be determined whether or not our company will continue into

Phase II (final phase).  The Dept. of Conservation confirmed there were 136 companies participating in 2007 of which 32 companies were awarded with funding.  Every succeeding year draws an increased number of companies who compete for funding.  It is our hope that with this recent submission, our company will be successful to be among those to receive funding for calendar year 2009.

Contract

As of this update, the broker of a prominent North American supplier who has been conducting negotiations on our company’s behalf informs us that contract signing remains eminent.  Date of contract signing will be announced on this website as soon as that information has been confirmed.

Facility Search

On May 1, Johny Meijer, Wayne Ford, and Peggy Johnson met with a broker to tour several buildings located in the surrounding areas of Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, and Ontario.  Many of the buildings had great potential; however, it was determined that one particular building located in the City of Ontario met the majority of criteria required to initiate operations.

In the meantime, Peggy Johnson has established contact with City personnel in order to set up meetings with representatives from the City’s Fire, Planning, and Building departments as soon as our company’s intent to move toward occupancy of the building has been initiated.  She has also secured the names of 62 brokers whom she will consider contacting to potentially provide CPC with the additional raw material, a majority of which is presently being transported to Asia.

Currently, Johny Meijer continues his work on writing and organizing numerous company-related policy manuals.  Also, he oversees that all of our responsibilities remain “streamlined” and current with the many on-going affairs of the company.  Mr. Meijer was instrumental in securing the assistance of a professional grant writer, providing her with extensive details over the course of numerous phone calls and submittal of various documents that were all essential in the development of the grant.

With the anticipation of purchasing extruders from a company located in Oregon, contact with their representative has been established and who will provide us a tour of that facility upon our request.  In addition to providing detailed specifications for each extruder that our manufacturing operations will require, contact has been made with other company representatives from whom CPC will acquire all other support-related equipment.
